Thank God! Now only if we could be so lucky that Doyle doesn't run the state of Wisconsin completely into the ground before he leaves office. May the best candidates now come forward, I hope that in the next election for Governor we can have a real choice, instead of the lesser of two evils.

Is Reince Priebus a real person or the artist formerly known as Reince?
  • rich1000 · 4 months ago
He chickened out!!! He knew he was not going to be re-elected so he won't run.

    Bawk, bawk!!!!!

Why not quit he has done his damage and can now go down as the worst Governor of Wisconsin. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Will Doyle be taking his "Choo Choo" train idea with him? Let's hope so. Maybe now, we can start focusing on repairing our dilapidated roads instead of worrying about bike paths and "Choo, Choo" trains. Doyle has been nothing more than a lap dog and cheer leader for the radical left.

I don't think anyone has done such a terrible job as governor. He managed to ruin Wisconsin with all the terrible legislation him and his followers have passed.
Now he leaves the mess to someone else, and it will take years to fix it.
Good riddance to this guy and all his cronies.

Doyle is leaving because it would be virtually impossible for him to screw things up much worse than he already has. He is the poster child for a greedy, corrupt, tax and spend liberal. Rather than propose new legislation for an awful idea, he attempts to include legislative issues in the state budget.

    Good riddance!!!

This is great news. I don't know him personally, but as a tax-payer....it's time for someone else. I hope the new Governor is wiser about the high-speed rail project. The East Coast has high occupancy on their rail system and it *still* needs subsidies from the government. Imagine how much we'd be paying to support a rail system that doesn't get much occupancy?? Let's focus on giving businesses incentives to base themselves in WI and lower our status as one of the highest taxing States in the Union. Sorry Mr. Doyle...but I'm happy to hear you're not seeking re-election. I don't know of anyone that would vote for you...and I know a lot of Democrats.

If the Governor does not run for office again, in all fairness, he should either return the monies that he has collected from fundraising to the people that sent the funds or at least to the party that he represents and not just be allowed to keep it for his own
